Four key stages are delivered through theoretical
study and essential practical exercises to cover all
elements from installation techniques through to an
overview of integrated home networks. On successful
completion of the course, those attending will have
gained the knowledge to competently install and test

Network theory
• The theoretical knowledge required to install
& test a multi-integrated network for Voice, Data
& TV
Installation techniques
• Transmission techniques
• Media and test parameters
Voice & data
• Installation practices of voice & data
cabling within the home, with reference to the relevant
standards
• Practical hands-on exercises for the installation
of Cat5e/6/7, CW1308 & coaxial cable systems
Entertainment systems
• Design & installation of TV, Video, DVD
& VCR systems
Residential network integration
• Overall integration of the home network, bringing
together all the elements of the network under a single
multi-channel cabling system
