EIGP-300/3: ExtremeWare Advanced IGP Routing and Configuration - OSPF and IS-IS

Duration: 3 days

Course Description

Using instructor-led activities with lecture and extensive laboratory exercises, this course focuses on the concepts required to deploy and troubleshoot Extreme products in an OSPF and/or IS-IS environment. This course will pick up from where ECT-200 left off with the OSPF discussion and exercise. In addition, we introduce IS-IS in an overview and discuss ExtremeWare IS-IS feature support and configuration, plus route redistribution discussion and exercise for OSPF/RIP.

Intended Audience

This course is designed for those individuals responsible for the installation, configuration, management, support and use of the Extreme Networks switches in an OSPF and/or IS-IS environment. This course is ideal for individuals who are familiar with Layer 3 routing but desire a more comprehensive discussion on how to set up an OSPF and/or IS-IS network using Extreme Networks products.

Prerequisite skills

Knowledge of LAN fundamentals, Layer 3 routing and OSPF protocol theories is required. Knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and static/dynamic routing is needed for the student to gain the most from this course. ECT-200/5 or equivalent knowledge in Layer 3 routing and configuration is desired.
