Convergence & Telephony
For the past 100 years telephony has been synonymous
with circuit switching. The next generation involves
a migration to packet switching technology. This is
a key growth area of datacommunications and telecomms
market place: resulting in a shortfall of trained
convergence engineers.
The CTP certification is a generic course ideal for
companies requiring a convergence capable workforce
and individuals intent on a career in convergence.
CTP can be used to lead onto vendor-specific courses
and as a pathway into the convergence industry.
There are three inter-related elements that can be
studied independently or ‘en-bloc’. This
versatility mirrors itself in the disparate nature
of the industry: for those approaching from a datacommunications
background, telephony & convergence should be
the focal point.
