Category 6 Overview
This 1-day course provides a vendor neutral and comprehensive
technical overview of Category 6 cabled LAN horizontal
networks.
Designed for those with some knowledge of cabling,
the content examines the future potential for Cat
6 and looks at any risks associated with encompassing
this technology. As many installers have discovered
to their cost, the problems generated by poor Cat
6 installation are more prevalent than on previous
Cat 5 and Cat 5e systems. Ways of addressing the necessary
quality standards during the installation of Cat 6
cable to ensure a high rate of first time passes during
acceptance testing will be fully examined.
